Founded in 2017, the Alliance of Women in Media Arts and Sciences (AWMAS) promotes the equity of women in the STEM and new media fields.

The Alliance of Women in Media Arts and Sciences be a student run club for women technology and science students at UCSB. AWMAS empowers women to succeed in technology related fields, be it academic or professional, with an emphasis in new media. (AWMAS) consists of scientists, engineers, musicians, music industry professionals, game developers, educators, researchers and graphic artists who strive to inspire and learn from each other. Through AWMAS, women are given an opportunity to share ideas, network and collaborate.

AWMAS is a professional registered campus organization(RCO) under Student Leadership and Engagement (SEAL) at UCSB.

We are located in the Santa Barbara, California area and are open to the entire community.
